Biography
Chad "Matt" MacKenzie is presently a busy fellow! In his day job he is an Engineering Manager on Adobe's LiveCycle ES product team where he manages a group of developers focused the platform's content management, application deployment and upgrade feature sets. Matt joined Adobe in 2003 as part of Adobe's acquisition of Yellow Dragon Software, where he served as President, CTO and founder. Prior to Yellow Dragon Software, Matt served as Chief Software Architect & VP of R&D at XML Global Technologies, an XML middleware company with offices in NYC and Vancouver. In the evening, Matt serves as CTO for Jistik, and is focused on building a ground breaking AJAX/Adobe Flex/AIR application for chargeback recovery.
Matt is recognized as an expert in Service Oriented Architecture, XML messaging and metadata management technologies, having been the chief editor of several international standards, including the Reference Model for Service Oriented Architectures (OASIS SOA-RM), ebXML Messaging (ISO 15000-2), ebXML Registry (ISO 15000-3, ISO 15000-4). For a period of time, Matt was also active with the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) for several years and has been recognized by the Government of Canada for his contributions as a delegate to UN/CEFACT.
In his spare time, Matt is running Mix2r.fm with long time business partner and friend, Duane Nickull. Mix2r.fm is a web site that caters to musicians, providing them an innovative way to collaborate on new compositions.
Matt lives in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada where he lives with his beautiful fiancée Maureen and Ike, a hopelessly incorrigible orange tabby.
